GEORGIA, UPSON COUNTY.
    
This indenture, made this the 6th day of August ,
1928, between Mrs. Carrie Ada Page of Upson County,
Georgia, of the first part, and G. T. McDaniel of
Bibb County, Georgia, of the second part witnesseth;
That said G. T. McDaniel, father of Bettie Maxine
McDaniel, Sixteen days of age, hereby binds and
apprentices to said Mrs. Carrie Ada Page, the said
Bettie Maxine McDaniel until his said daughter is
twenty-one years old, upon the following terms:

Said Mrs. Carrie Ada Page agrees to take into her
custody said Bettie Maxine McDaniel; teach her
habits of industry; teach her the business of
housekeeping; furnish her with protection, wholesome
food, suitable clothing, necessary medicine and
medical attendance; teach her habits of honesty and
morality; shall cause her to be taught to read
English and shall govern her with humanity, using
the same degree of force to compel her obedience as
a father and mother may use with their minor child,
and when said Bettie Maxine McDaniel shall arrive at
the age of twenty-one years she is to receive from
said Mrs. Carrie Ada Page at least the sum of One
Hundred dollars in cash.

In consideration of all of which said Mrs. Carrie
Ada Page is to be entitled to the services of said
Bettie Maxine McDaniel until she is twenty-one years
old.
    Witness our hands and seals, this the 6th day of August, 1928.

Georgia, Upson County
In consideration of W. F. McDaniel assuming all the
obligations toward Bettie Maxine Daniel, this
contract is hereby transferred to the said W. F.
McDaniel of Bibb County, Georgia. The said McDaniel
is to take over custody and control of said Bettie
Maxine McDaniel, and carry out and execute all the
obligations towards said child mentioned in this
contract.
    This 27th day of July 1933.
