Willis principal and William J.? Willis & Anderton Stafford acknowledge ourselves jointly & severally bound unto their Honors the Judges of the Inferior Court when sitting for the Ordinary purposes for said County & their successors & assigns in the just and full sum of Five hundred dollars, to the payment of which, well & truly to be made, we bind ourselves, & the heirs & Executors of us & each of us. Jointly & severally by these presents,sealed with our seals & dated this 4th day of March 1844 The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Joel S. Willis who is this day appointed Guardian of the person & property of Mathew Allen minor & orphan child of John deceased, he acknowledges of the same by his acceptance of said appointment and of letters of Guardianship of this date, shall well & truly maintain, clothe & Educate said orphan according to circumstances & shall take good & lawful care of this person & property according to the laws of this state and shall annually make a just & true return of all his actings & doings herein, unto the said Court then this obligation to be void, ___? to remain in full force Joel S.
