Indenture of Apprenticeship
between
John & Mary Parks    And
Lily Jones, mother of
Dora Zorn.

Georgia, Upson County.
This indenture, made this May 28, 1910, between John
and Mary Parks of the first part, and Lily Jones of
the second part, all of the county & State
aforesaid, the said Lily being the mother of Dora
Zorn, now aged one year and 5 days, witnesses: that
the said Lily hereby binds and apprentices to the
said John & Mary the said Dora, until the said Dora
is 21 years old, upon the following terms: Said John
and Mary agrees to take into their custody said
Dora; teach her habits of industry; teach her the
business of house keeping; furnish her with
protection, wholesome food, suitable clothing,
necessary medicine and medical attendance; teach her
habits of honesty and morality; shall cause her to
be taught to read English, and shall govern her with
humanity, using only the same degree of force to
compel her obedience as a father and mother may use
with their minor child, and when said Dora shall
arrive at the age of 21, she is to receive from said
John and Mary at least the sum of $100.00 in cash.
In consideration of all of which said John & Mary
are to be entitled to the services and earnings of
said Dora until she is 21 years old. Witness our
hands and seals. this May 28, 1910.
