Upson County Georgia Deed Sherwood Allen to Matthew Caldwell File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Walker Winge Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/upson.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Upson County, Georgia Deed Book B, p. 311 Georgia }} Upson County }} Know all men by these presents that I Sherwood Allen of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Matthew Caldwell of the County of Upson and State aforesaid of the other part that for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and fifty Dollars paid by the Said Matthew Caldwell to the Said Sherwood Allen the recipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has Bargained and Sold, and by their presents doth bargain Sell and deliver to the Said Matthew Caldwell his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns all that Tract or parcel of Land Stituated lying and being int the Sixteenth District of orginally Houston now Upson County Know and distinguised in the plan of Said District by the number /60/ Sixty with all and Singular this unfinished Herein - To have and to hold the Said tract or parcel of land to him the Said Matthew Caldwell his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns forever in fee Simple and the Said Sherwood Allen for himself his Heirs etc will warrant defend the right and title thereof to him the Said Matthew Caldwell his Heirs etc against the claims of himself and all and every other person - persons whoever - Swears - ' In witness whereof the Said Sherwood Allen hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal this 22nd day of December 1832 Sherwood Allen [L.S.] Test John G.
