Upson County Georgia Deed Elizabeth Caldwell - Trustees of New Hope Baptist Church File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Walker Winge, Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/upson.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Georgia }} Upson County }} This Indenture made and entered into this Twenty Six day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Eight Between Elizabeth Caldwell of the one part & JohnDunn Isaac Sanders and James Page Trustees of the Baptist Church of Christ at New Hope of the other part witnesseth that Elizabeth Caldwell for the love and affection She hath for the cause of god and the church of Christ at New hope in the County and State aforesaid do give unto the Said John Dunn Isaac Sanders and James Page the above Trustees four acres of Land it being part of Lot No [180] in the Eleventh District of upson county formerly Monroe Commencing on the original line Between William Williams and Elizabeth Caldwell at a post oak corner near _____ one half South of the Same Meeting House from there on east Twenty Rods to a post oak corner thence North thirty three Rods to a post oak corner thence west to a Chestnut Stake on the original line thence South along the original line to the beginning Corner. To have and To hold the Said land so long as it Shall be occupied by the Baptist order fot the use of a Meeting house the rights whereof I bind myself my heirs, and assigns, I do warrant and forever defend the writs and form Set unto the aforesaid Trustees or their Successors in office designated appointed during the time here in mentioned In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed Elizabeth [her X mark] Caldwell {Seal} and delivered in the presence of Test Thomas Johnson Simon S.
