Upson County Georgia Deed John Caldwell - Jesse Newby Sr File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Walker Winge, Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/upson.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Georgia }} Richmond County }} This Indenture made the third day of March 1825 between John Caldwell of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Jesse Newby Senr of the county of Jones and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said for and in consideration of the Sum of Five hundred and sixty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents grant bargain and sell and convey unto the Said Jesse Newby Senr his heirs and assigns all Tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the tenth district of Monroe County in Said State which said tract or lot of land is known and distinguished in the plant of Said District by the number thirty one having such shapes form and marked as appear by a plat of the Same and grant being dated the Seventeeth day of February Eighteen hundred and twenty five to have and to hold, Said tract or parcel of land unto him the Said Jesse his heirs and assigns, together with all and Singular the rights members and appentures ___ thereof to the Same in any belonging to his use and heirs proper and benefit and behoof forever in fee Simple and the Said John Caldwell for himself his heirs Executors and administrators, the Said bargained premises unto the said Jesse Newby Senr his heirs and assigns will warrant defend the right and letter thereof against these ____, and against the claims of all other persons whatsoever.
