Upson County Georgia Deeds Lydia Ivy - Ephriam Ivy File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Walker Winge, Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/upson.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Upson County, Georgia, Deed Book A, p. 444 Georgia }} Upson County }} This indenture made this the eighteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one between Lydda Ivey of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Ephriam Ivy her son of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said Lyddia Ivy for the love she has for the said Ephriam Ivy hath this day given and granted unto the said Ephriam three negroes to wit Dick a Man about thirty years old and Pady a woman about twenty nine years old and Levy a boy about four years old remaining to herselt the Said negroes during her natural life also if the Said woman shall have another child it is to belong to the said Lydda Ivy and all other increase be there money or fees is to be the Said Ephriam and also a certain bay horse six or seven years old which the Said Lydda Ivy bought from Jonah Spivey is also ______ their presents now the property of the Said Ephriam Ivy - To have and to hold said property of him the Said Ephriam Ivy his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights / except as above excepted members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to him and their own proper use benefit and behalf forever in fee simple and the Said Lydda Ivy for herself her heirs executors and administrators the Said given property unto the Said Ephriam Ivy his heir and assigns will warrant and forever defent the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatsoever - In witness whereof the Said Lydda Ivy hath hereunto Set her hand and Seal the day and year abive written - Lydda [her X mark] Ivy [Seal] Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of The word in the fourth line [herson] }} was entered before assigned }} Parmis Fomber }} Edmund Stewart Jr }} Recorded this 24 Dec - 1841 P.
