Upson County Georgia Deeds Lydia Ivy - Ephriam Ivy File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Walker Winge, Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/upson.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Upson County, Georgia Deed Book E, p. 144 Georgia }} Upson County }} Know all men by these presence that Ephriam Ivey of the County and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Lydia Ivey of the same places, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & have granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the Said Lydia Ivey her heirs and assigns the following property to viz/ One negro girl named Martha about seven years old to have and to hold the aforesaid bargained property to her the said Lydia Ivey her heirs and assigns forever and I the said Ephriam Ivey for myself my heirs executors and adminsitrators all and singular the said bargained for party with the Said Lydia Ivey her heirs and assigns against me and my said executors and administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall find and ______ defend by these presents In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this tweny third day of September One thousand and Eight hundred and fifty two Ephriam Ivey [L.S.] Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Edmund Stewart J.P.
