All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Tammey McGinty tammeymcginty@aol.com January 15, 2003, 9:22 am 109/10 D Written: February 4 1846 Recorded: May 16 1847 State of Georgia,Upson County: This Indenture made and entered unto this fourth day of Feb. in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Six between Benjamin Meadows of the said state of Alabama and county of Chambers of the one part and Thomas B.Greene of the state of Georgia and county of Upson of the other part.Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and Seventy Nine dollars cash in hand paid at and before the signing sealing and delivering of these present receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Benjamin Meadows hath by these presents grant,bargain sell and convey unto the said Thomas B.Greene all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the tenth district of originally Monroe but now Upson County known in the place of said district by the number (109) one hundred and nine containing one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less being the East half and North corner of said lot or parcel of land with all and singular the rights members and oppurtunances to said lot or parcel of land and in any wise oppurtaining to or belonging to have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land unto him the said Thomas B.Greene his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever in fee simple and the said Benjamin Meadows the right and title to said lot or parcel of land will forever warrant and defend against the claims of himself his heirs and assigns and all other persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said Benjamin Meadows hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above mention. In presence of J.F.Walker and William Trice .
