Willis, Trustee of Mount Vernon Academy and his successors in office of the other parts. Witnesseth that for and inconsideration of the love and esteem I have for the Baptist Church at Antioch and the good will I have for Mount Vernon Academy, I have this day bargained, given and granted to the deacons of said church and the trustee of said academy and their successors in office the following tract of land to wit -- two acres more or less off of lot number ?? in the eleventh district of originally Monroe now Upson County, known and designated as diagram hereto attached commencing at a post oak about twenty yards north of the road running east-west, thence parallel with said road crossing near the intersection of the ?? of Barnesville Road thence running nearly south beyond Mount Vernon Academy, thence west till it intersects with Thomas N. Willis land following said line to the point of beginning. To have and to hold said land and premises together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances being belonging or may wise appertaining to them the said deacons of said church and trustees of said Academy and their successors for the purposes of said Baptist church as well as for the benefit of said Academy as long as they or either of them use said premises for said purposes and in the event they should fail to keep up said church or said Academy then the deed to be null and void and said land and premises to revert back to the original donor or those holding under ???.
