Written: October 18 1834 Recorded: December 20 1834 Georgia,Upson County This Indenture made and enterd unto this the eighteenth day of October eighteen hundred and thirty four Between Carlton J.Smith of said county of the one past and Thomas B.Greene of the same place of the other part Witnefseth that the said Carlto J.Smith hath for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty two dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thomas B.Greene the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged,granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by there presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Thomas B.Greene his heirs and asighn all that tract of parcel of land containing twenty seven acres two roads and twenty three poles being part of lot number one hundred and thirtyone (NO.131)in the tenth district formely Monroe now Upson County commensing at the branch of lines between said Smith & said Greene now thence along said branch to the East side of said lot,thence South to the South corner of said lot sixteen chains and fifteen links,thence and beginning corner along said Greene's present line. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land together with all and singular the members and apprentiness thereunto belonging unto the said Thomas B.Greene his heirs and asighn forever fee simple--- and the said Carlton J.Smith for himself and his heirs and executors and adminstrator the said bargain premsises unto the said Thomas B.Greene and his heirs and asighns will warrant and forever defend against themselves and against the claims of all other persons whatever. In Testimony whereof the said Carlton J.Smith hath herewits set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written.
