Means Reunion
     At the beautiful country home of Mr. and Mrs. Woodall, of Crest, Ga., the 
children of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson Means met on August 5, for a 
reunion.
     Mr. and Mrs. Means were pioneer settlers of Monroe County and charter 
members of Fredonia Congregational Church.  From this union there were eight 
children.  The late Dr. W. A. Means, Crest, Ga.; Colonel M. S. Means, 
Hawkinsville, and Mr. J. A. Means, of Atlanta.
     Those surviving are Mr. F. M. Means and Mrs. W. E. Thurmond of Atlanta; 
Mr. J. T. Means and Mrs. R. B. Hamlin, of Barnesville, and Mrs. W. C. 
Franklin, Thomaston.  There are one hundred and forty-five descendants widely 
scattered through out the country.
     The home of Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Woodall was an ideal place for such an 
occasion with spacious grounds and stately trees.  At noon a delightful dinner 
was served and afternoon was spent in recalling memories of former days.

Note:  The reunion was apparently held at the home of Lee Thomas Woodall, Sr., 
who m. Emma Valeria Franklin.  She was the daughter of Willis Craft Franklin 
and Martha Ann (Means) Franklin.
