Mrs. Ruby Robinson was shot through the head with a pistol while she lay asleep in bed at her home. The shooting occurred about 11 o’clock. The ball penetrated one side of her head about the ear and came out on the other, inflicting a serious wound, though not necessarily fatal. She was shot through a window of the house, it is said. Suspicion pointed to a young man named Lloyd Beverly. It is alleged that the young woman who is suing her present husband for a divorce, repulsed the attentions of young Beverly and he became angry and made threats to fix her. He was arrested Wednesday morning and lodged in the Upson County jail to await the outcome of the wounds on the young lady. She was formerly known as Miss Ruby Morris and is known as such now. Young Beverly is the son of Mr. Allen Beverly of Barnesville and is about 21 years of age. The young woman is about 18 years old. – Thomaston Times File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/upson/newspapers/rubymorr2314nw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
