J.W. Lindsay, secretary of the Georgia confederate roster commission, by Hon. J.E.F. Matthews, the present ordinary of Upson county. Vining, Thomaston, Upson county, Georgia. Upson Volunteers, company D, Thirteenth Georgia Regiment, J.M. Smith, captain. Surviving members: T.S. Sharman, E.B. Thompson, F.J. Reeves, Thomaston, Upson county, Georgia. Upson Sentinels, company A, Forty-sixth regiment, T.B. Hancock, captain. Surviving members: R.D. Shuptrine and J.W. Holloway Grays, company E, Third Georgia battalion (afterwards company C, Thirty-seventh Georgia regiment), A.J. White, captain. Surviving members: A.J. Williams and J.T.
