The place and time of the funeral will be announced later by Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Interment will be in South View Cemetery. Mr. Atkins was employed in the weave room of Peerless Division of Thomaston Mills and was a veteran of World War 11. He was a native of Graceville, Fla., but had lived in Upson County for 24 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Mae Harper Atkins, Thomaston, three step- daughters; Mrs. Jesse Harris, Thomaston, Mrs. Geraldine Barren, Montezuma, and Mrs. Ophelia Byrd, Butler, five step-sons; James Suddeth, Lamar Suddeth, and Willie Frank Suddeth, all of Cummings, Troy Suddeth, Thomaston, and Robert Suddeth, Macon. A brother, Homer Atkins of Wewah, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Ada Sloan, Graceville, Fla. Twenty-four setp-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
