Funeral Wednesday Jan . 1985 for Mrs. Richie Adams, 63
Mrs. Richmond (Richie) Atwater Adams, 63, widow of the
late Thomas Dickson Adams and daughter of the late
Captain James R. Atwater, died Monday morning January 7th
at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.  Funeral
services for Mrs. Adams were scheduled for Wednesday
morning, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the First
Presbyterian Church, Dr. Albert E. Simmons will
officiate. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements. Mrs. Adams resided at 309 Cherokee Road.  A
native Upsonian, she was a member of the John Houston
Chapter, N.S.D.A.R. the Sharman of Upson, U.D.C., the
Upson County Hospital Auxiliary where she held lifetime
membership, and the First Presbyterian Church where she
was active in the Women of the Church. Surviving Mrs.
Adams are her three sons, Thomas Dickson Adams, Jr.,
James Atwater Adams, Sr., and Peter Cabell Adams, all of
Thomaston.  Two grandsons, James Atwater Adams, Jr., and
Robert Dickson Adams also survive. It is the request of
the family that memorial contributions be made to the
First Presbyterian Church of Thomaston.
