G. B. (Glen) Allen

Thomaston-Glen (G. B.) Allen, age 69, of Zebulon died at Monroe County Hospital Thursday April 3, 1980.  Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church in Zebulon Saturday, 2:00 p. m. Rev. Buren Dowdy will officiate.  Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery.  Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

     Mr. Allen was a self employed carpenter and a resident of Pike County, native of Franklin County, Georgia.

     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Allen, 5 daughters:  Mrs. T. A. Bunn , Forsyth, Ga., Mrs. Vernon H. McDaniel, Barnesville, Ga.,  Mrs. Bobby Gordy, Griffin, Ga., Mrs. Katie Smith, Dublin, Ga., and Mrs. John R. Floyd, Sr., of Zebulon, Ga.  Two sons, Hugh of Mill Brook, Ala., and James of Zebulon, Ga.  One brother, Boyd H. Allen of Blairsville, Ga., two sisters:  Mrs. W. A. Price, Anderson, S. C., and Mrs. Louise Mooneyham, Anderson, S. C.  Twenty two grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
