Final Rites Held For Mrs. Barfield
  Mrs. Magie Barfield, a former resident of Thomaston, died at her home in 
Atlanta Saturday and funeral services were held at the Pasley Funeral Home 
Chapel Sunday afternoon with Rev. S. H. Pendley officiating.
  Interment was in Flint River Cemetery.
  Survivors include three sons: F. M. Barfield, Hartford, Conn.; B. L. 
Barfield, Atlanta; J. W. Barfield, Miami, Fla.; Two sisters, Mrs. J. L. 
Morgan, Thomaston and Mrs. Mattie Lee Land, Columbus; three brothers, J. C. 
and Frank Mallory, Thomaston and Bass Mallory, Columbus.

married November 13, 1910, to
James Eugene Barfield September 4, 1869 - Janaury 1, 1938
Buried in Upson County, Georgia, in Flint River Primitive Baptist Church 
Cemetery in the same plot with their oldest son Francis M. Barfield March 9, 
1912 - March 30, 1978
