Ray N. Blount, Sr., 73
Ray N. Blount, Sr., 73, of 419 4th Avenue, died Thursday, Nov.13.  He was a 
native of Washington County who had been a resident of Thomaston for 59 years, 
a retired employee of the B.F. Goodrich Company and a member of the Masons.
Mr. Blount is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ann Franklin of Thomaston, two 
sons;  Ray N. Blount, Jr. of Thomaston, and Jerry Blount of San Diego, CA., two 
brothers, Roy Blount of Thomaston and Cecil Blount of Sandersville, three 
sisters;  Mrs. Curtis Johnson, Mrs. Sara Pritchett, both of Thomaston, and Mrs. 
Helen Hunter of Macon, and two half-sisters;  Mrs. Marie Brookins, of 
Sandersville, and Mrs. Roy Shelton of Savannah.  Four grandchildren and one 
great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of 
Coggins Funeral Home.  Rev. William E. Pitts officiated and interment was in 
Southview Cemetery.
