Final Rites for Mrs. Barron, 70

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Barron, 70, were
held Sunday, July 3 at 3 0’clock at the Valley Grove
Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Bradshaw
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.

Mrs. Barron died Friday, July 1, 1983 at the Upson
County Hospital.  She resided at 106 Valley Grove
Drive and was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist
Church.  Mrs. Barron, a native of South Carolina,
resided in Upson County for 65 years.

Survivors include two sons:  Ernest Barron , Macon,
Charlie Barron, Thomaston, two sisters: Mrs. Minnie
Marshall, Thomaston, Mrs. Lula Mae Shirley, High
Point, N.C., and three grandchildren.
