Monday Rites for Mrs. Bertha Beck (1982)

Final rites for Mrs. Bertha Beck, 76, were held Monday,
April 26th at 11 o’clock at the Silvertown Baptist Church
with Rev. Joe Allen officiating.  Burial was in the
Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Coggins Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Beck died Friday, April 23, at Providence Health
Care Center.  She was a retired employee of the B F
Goodrich Textile Products, Martha Mills, having worked in
the Spinning Department.  For the past 41 years she
resided in Upson County and was a native of Rockdale
County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn
Bell, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Doris Daniel, eclectic, Ala.,
one son, Claude Beck, Blairsville, two sisters. Mrs. Ella
Aydlotte, Thomaston, Mrs. Elsie McGowin, Forest Park,
three brothers, Arthur Smith, Luther Smith and Robert
Smith all of Thomaston.  Nine grandchildren and three
great grandchildren also survive.
