Graveside Rites for Tuck Bethel, 71

     Graveside funeral services for Thompson Graham (Tuck) Bethel, Jr., 71, were held Thursday, June 24 at 11 o’clock at Paran church Cemetery in Monroe County with Rev. H. P. McDonald officiating.  Andrew A. Dillon Funeral Home of Forsyth was in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Bethel died Wednesday, June 23, 1982 in the Blount Community near Forsyth following an extended illness.  He was a native of Upson County and resided in Monroe County for the past 20 years and made his home in the old Butler home in the Blount Community.  He was a retired employee of the Finishing Division of Thomaston Mills.

     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Irene Butler Bethel, Forsyth, two sisters:  Mrs. Josephine Synbrandt, Thomaston, Miss Sara Bethel, Thomaston and Pine Mountain, three brothers: Jonathan Bethel, Thomaston, Stamps Bethel, Santa Rosa, Ca., Julian Bethel, Peachtree City, one maternal aunt, Miss Martha Stamps, Thomaston, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Cecil Tribble, Thomaston, and several nieces and nephews.
