Mr. M. L. Blankenship 

Funeral services were conducted for Mr. M. L.
Blankenship, 71, of Decatur on Friday, September 6,
1985 at the Chapel of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, at
11 a.m.  Mr. Blankenship died on Tuesday morning,
September 3 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta.

Burial was held at South View Cemetery in Thomaston
at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements. Mr. Blankenship was a
former resident of Thomaston.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Smith
of Decatur, one son, Mr. Larry Blankenship of Deer
River, Minn., sister-in-law, Mrs. Roy Pierce, and
two brothers-in-law: Mr. W. R. Barnes and Mr.
Clarence Barnes, both of Thomaston.  Several
grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
