Final Rites for Leonard Bolton, 78

Funeral services for Leonard Calhoun Bolton, Sr.,
78, were held Sunday, July 3 at 4 o’clock at the
First United Methodist Church with Rev. W. C. Bowen
and Rev. Steve Soulen officiating.  Burial was in
Fincher United Church Cemetery with Coggins Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bolton died Saturday, July 2, 1983 at the Upson
County Hospital.  He resided at 601 Hill Street and
was the retired owner and operator of Blue Goose
Café.

The native Upsonian is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Marie Cook Bolton, two daughters:  Mrs. Slyvia
McKenzie, Thomaston, Mrs. Patsy Sargeant,
Springlake, N.J., one son, Leonard C. Bolton,Jr.,
Jackosn, Miss. And eight grandchildren and two great
grandchildren also survive.
