Mr. Samuel A. Brewton, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Samuel A. Brewton Sr. will
be held Thursday, June 24, 1982 at 11 a.m. in the
chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Dr.
Robert M. Hoffmann officiating.  Pasley-Fletcher
Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be in the South View Cemetery.

Mr. Brewton, age 78, of 403 Howell Street, died
Tuesday afternoon, June 22, at the Upson County
Hospital.

A native of Pierce County, Georgia, Mr. Brewton was
a former resident of Griffin.  He was a retired
representative for the Economy Auto Stores, which is
now Otasco.  

Mr. Brewton attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural
College in Tifton. He was a member of the First
Baptist Church and Morning Star Lodge #27, Free and
Accepted Mason. Survivors include one son, Dr. S. A.
Brewton, Jr., three grandchildren:  Miss Martha
Caroline Brewton, Mr. Samuel A. Brewton 111, and Mr.
Benjamin H. Brewton, all of Thomaston.
