Thursday Rites for Samuel A. Brewton, Sr., 78

Funeral services for Samual a. Brewton, Sr., 78-year
old father of Dr. S. A. Brewton, Jr., were held
Thursday, June 24 at 11 o’clock at the Chapel of
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Dr. Robert F.
Hoffmann officiating.  Burial was in South View
Cemetery.

Mr. Brewton died Tuesday, June 22, 1982 at the Upson
County Hospital.  He resided at 403 Howell Street
and was a  retired Company Representative for
Economy Auto Stores which is now OTASCO.  Mr.
Brewton was a native of Pierce County and attended
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton.  He
was a member of the First Baptist Church and Morning
Star Lodge No. 27, Free and Accepted Masons.

He is survived by one son, Dr. S. A. Brewton, Jr.,
Thomaston, and three granchildren:  Miss Martha
Caroline Brewton, Samuel A. Brewton, 111, and
Benjamin H. Brewton, all of Thomaston.
