Death of aged veteran - Friday, June 1,1917
 
Mr. Daniel H. Britt, one of Upson County's 
oldest Confedrate Veterans, died at his
home near Burketts last Sunday after
an illness of serveral weeks. His remains 
were laid to rest the following day in the
Fellowship Cemetery. Mr. Britt was born
on February 31,1836 in Monroe County.

He enlisted March 1862 at Forsyth in
Company A. 14th Georgia regiment and
surendured 9th od April, 1865 at Appomattox
Courthouse, Va. Mr. Britt leaves a wife and
several children who have the sympathy of
the community in their bereavment.
