Mrs. Mary S. Brodnax

Thomaston…Death claimed Mrs. Mary S. Brodnax, of
Route 5, Triune Mill Road, at the Upson County
Hospital on Thursday morning, December 22, 1977.

Funeral services were held Friday at Emory’s Chapel
Baptist Church with the Rev. Doyal Turkett and the
Rev. Robert Kent officiating.  Burial was in South
View Cemetery.  Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brodnax is survived by two daughters:  Mrs.
Elinor Wilson and Mrs. Joan Hill. Both of Thomaston,
three sons:  Billy Brodnax, and Carlton Brodnax of
Thomaston, and Harold Brodnax, of Opelika, Ala.
Fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren
also survive.

The deceased was a member of Emory’s Chapel Baptist
Church and the Henry Grady Home Demonstration Club
and was a 4-H Advisor.  She retired from Thomaston
Mills in 1962.  Mrs. Brodnax was born in Stewart
County but had lived in Upson County for the last 38
years.
