Mrs. Tennie Luna Brooks

Thomaston-Mrs. Tennie Luna Brooks, age 92, of Route 3, Pickard Road, Thomaston, died at the Providence Nursing Home on Sunday, September 28.  Funeral services were held at the Pasley-Fletcher Chapel at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon, September 29, with the Rev. Robert Aiken and Turner Scott officiating.  Interment was in the South View Cemetery.  Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Tennessee and had lived in Alabama until moving to Georgia 44 years ago.  She was a former employee of Martha Mills and was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She is survived by three daughters:  Mrs. Marie Ferguson, Mrs. Jimmie Black, both of Thomaston, Mrs. Hazel Brown of Mobile, Alabama, and one son, John L. Brooks, Jr., of Macon, one brother, Edgar Luna of Birmingham,  six sisters:  Mrs. Lula Walden, Mrs. Bessie Osbolt, Mrs. Altha Ryals, all of Thomaston.  Mrs. Frances Deen of Alma, Mrs. Evelyn  Dismuke of Pensacola, Fla., Mrs. Florence Carr of Montgomery, Ala.  Seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.
