Flora Brown

Mrs. Flora Brown, 90, of Fort Valley and a former
resident of Yatesville died early Tuesday morning,
Aug, 28, 1984, at her home. Funeral services were
held Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 29, in Yatesville
United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill DuBose
officiating.  Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements.  Burial was in
Yatesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. A
native of Yatesville, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of
the late Mr. John Lester and the late Mrs. Mattie
Yates Lester.  Her maternal grandfather was the
founder of Yatesville.  

She had been a resident of Fort Valley for two years
and was a retired employee of the William Carter
Co., in Barnesville.  She was the oldest living
member of the Yatesville United Methodist Church at
the time of her death.  

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Hoke Ben ? (
