Bobby Lee Burkett

Thomaston…Bobby Lee Burkett, 63, 517 Notingham St., died Thursday
at his residence.

Funeral was Saturday at the Chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral
Home with the Rev. John W. Morris officiating.  Burial was in
South View Cemetery. 

A former taxi operator and Thomaston policeman, Mr. Burkett was
retired from the Thomaston Times and The City Barn with the city
of Thomaston.  He was a native of Upson County and a member of
Mason Morning Star Lodge #27 F&A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clifford Cowart Burkett,
Thomaston, a daughter, Mrs. James W. Peacock, Thomaston, four
brothers:  Aldine Burkett, Calvin Burkett, Leonard Burkett, and
Felton Burkett, all of Thomaston, a sister, Mrs. Roselle Mullins,
Thomaston, and a grandson, Jay Stewart.
