Cathy Elizabeth Byars and Nell Alice Haygood drowned in a fish pond Monday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. Their bodies were recovered Monday evening at 8 p.m. by rescue workers. Funeral services for Cathy Elizabeth Byars, 7-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lee Byars of Culloden, were held Wed. afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Culloden Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Hendricks officiating. Burial was in the Colloden Cemetery with Miller Stephens Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Survivors, besides parents are two sisters, Sandra and Cherie Byars, two brothers, Jimmy and Gary Byars, all of Culloden. final rites for Nell Alice Haygood, 7-year-old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Haygood of Culloden, will be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Sharon Primitive Baptist Church with Elder P.O. Revels, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Culloden Cemetery. Survivors, besides her parents, are two sisters, Mary & Lena Haygood, both of culloden; Three bros; Thomas Haygood, Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.; Benjamin Haygood, Barnesville; Ronnie Haygood, Culloden.
