Mrs. Josie W. Callahan
Thomaston-Death claimed Mrs. Josie W. Callahan, age
66, of 708 Jeff Davis Road on Wednesday night, Mrs.
Callahan was dead on arrival at the Upson County
Hospital.  Funeral services were held Saturday  1978
at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Pasley-Funeral with
the Rev. L. E. Smith officiating.  Burial was in
South View Cemetery.

Mrs. Callahan was an Upsonian for 50 years.  She is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert Caraway,
Zebulon, and Mrs. C. U. Partridge, Jr., of Satelite
Beach, Fla., two sons Alvin E. of Molena, and Jerry
L. of Thomaston,  four brothers;  Howard Watkins,
Warner Robins, Claude Watkins, Jonesboro, I. Y.
Watkins, Hartwell, and Johnny Watkins, Newman.  A
sister, Mrs. James Harkins, Tampa, Fla., and 15
grandchildren and three great grandchildren also
survive.
