He had resided in Upson County for 36 years and was a retired textile worker. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Essie Canup; two daughters,Mrs Mary Ruth Creamer,Thomaston, and MRS. Barbara Joyce Owens, Chamblee;two sons,Alfred R.Canup,Griffin,and Bobby Lee Canup of Vero Beach, Fla.; two brothers, J.B.Canup of Thomaston,and Jim Canup,Louisville,Ky. and a sister, Mrs Ella T.Slaton of Gainesville.Eight grandchildren and four great- grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday,Sept.9,at 2:00 in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home . Rev Ross Mothershed and Rev H.(CAN'T READ) officiated and burial was in Crystal Hill Cemetery =================== Mr.Lee Canup Funeral services will be held for Mr.Lee Canup of 323 F St. Tuesday, Sept. 9,1986 at 2p.m. in Coggins Chapel.Mr.Canup died Sunday, Sept.7 at Providence Nursing Home. The Rev. Ross Mothershed and the Rev. H.F.Freeman will officiate. Burial will be held in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Canup was a retired Card Room Grinder . He was an Upsonian for 36 years.
