Mr. J. D. Caraway Dead- 1915


Mr. J. D. Caraway died at his home in this city Wednesday
at the age of 71 years. He had been a great sufferer for
a number of years with a complication of ills and for
this reason his death had been expected.

The funeral will occur Friday morning at 10:30 at the
home, the services to be conducted by Rev. J. M.  Tumlin.
The burial will take place at Glenwood cemetery with
Masonic rites.

Mr. Caraway was a member of the Methodist church. He was
also a Mason, which order conducted burial rites. He was
a Confederate Veteran with an honorable record. The
deceased had lived in this community practically all his
life and was highly esteemed by all who knew him and his
death will bring sorrow to many.

Mr. Caraway leaves a wife and four children living. His
children are Mrs. J. D. Caraway, Miss Bina Carraway, Mrs.
J. C. Little, and Mrs. J. D. Hines of South Georgia.

The people of the community extend sympathy to the
bereaved wife and children in their sad loss.
