Jerry L. Carithers

Thomaston-Death claimed Jerry L. Carithers, age 43,
of 100 Avenue G, on Friday morning, February 17,
1978 at the Upson County Hospital.  Funeral services
were held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with the Rev. Foy
Perkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bobby
Helton.  Burial was in South View Cemetery.

Mr. Carithers was a native of Putnam County but had
lived in Thomaston for 37 years.  He was employed as
a machinist at the William Carter Company.  He has
served in the U.S. Marines.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mearcine M.
Carithers, Thomaston, two daughters, Miss Deborah
Carithers and Miss Lisa Carithers, both of
Philadelphia, PA.  Two brothers, Ralph and Dennis,
both of Thomaston also survive.
