Samuel Douthit officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park at Sandy Springs, GA., on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. Mr. Champion died Saturday morning of an apparent heart attack at the Emergency Room of the Upson County Hospital. Mr. Champion was a native of Booneville, Miss., but was a former resident of Atlanta and had lived in Talbotton for the past eight years. He was employed as an engineer at Lanier Electronics. He was a member of the Corinth United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Melba V. Champion, Talbotton; four sons, William Ray Champion, Jr., Richard Lynn Champion and Robert Douglas Champion, all of Atlanta, and Kenneth Eugene Champion, Talbotton. (?????)
