Essie Lee Cofield
Mrs. Essie Lee Cofield, 68 of 400 Third Avenue, died
Saturday, July 2, 1983 at Upson County Hospital. Funeral
services were held Tuesday, July 5, in Silvertown
Methodist Church with the Rev. Caro Fox and the Rev.
Calvin Ward officiating. Coggins Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements and interment, which followed
in Southview Cemetery. Mrs Cofield had lived in Thomaston
for 21 years. She was a retired employee of the Thomaston
Mills.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Cofield of Powder
Springs, GA: one half-brother, Frank Gladin of
Fayetteville; three sisters, Mrs. Sara Finley of Tampa.
Fla., Mrs. Irma Torbert of Douglasville, Mrs. Grace
Cherry of Thomaston: and one half-sister, Miss Ruth
Gladin, also of Thomaston.
