William A.
Graveside services for Mr. William A. Colquitt, 96,
of Yatesville were held Monday, July 7, 1997 at 11
a.m. in New Hope Church Cemetery in Yatesville with
Rev. Cleveland A. McSwain officiating.

Mr. Colquitt died Thursday, July 3, 1997 at Harbor
Side Health Care in Clearwater, Fla.

Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Mr. Colquitt was a native of Yatesville where he was
active in the Peach farming industry.  Later, he was
employed by Upson County as a guard at the County
Work Farm.  He was preceded in death by his wife,
Mrs. Lena Scott Colquitt in 1991.  He was a member
of the Yatesville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Keturah Colquitt
Cabe of Clearwater, Fla., one sister, Mrs. Gloria C.
Luker of Uniontown, Kansas, two granddaughters, Miss
Regina R. Cabe of Clearwater, Fla., and Miss Karen
L. Cabe of Lakeland, Fla.
