Funeral services for W.A.Conley,86,of Gordon School
Road,were held Sunday,Aug.24,at 3:00 in Mountain
View Baptist Church.Dr.Rex King and Rev Steve
Maguire officiated and burial was in Sand Grove
Cemetery in Eastman. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.


  Mr.Conley died Friday evening ,Aug.22,in Riverside Medical Center.
He was a native of Telfair County and retired in 1961 from the 
Thomaston Division of Thomaston Mills. He was a member of Mountain 
View Baptist Church.


  Survivors include his wife ,Mrs. Eddie Horne Conley;three daughters,
Mrs. Verna Stallings of Yatesville,Mrs. Helen Bevil of Milner,and Mrs 
Evelyn Ussery of New Orleans,La,;and a sister, Mrs. *Dossia Williamson 
of Eastman. Six grandchildren,fourteen great -grandchildren,and one 
great-great-grandchildren also survive
