Mr.Alva "Bud" Corley

Mr. Alva "Bud" Corley,86,of Rte. 1,Meansville died
Saturday,Oct. 17 at the Upson County Hospital.


Funeral services were held Sunday Oct. 18 at the
Vega Baptist Church with the Rev.Robert Stewart
officiating and the Rev.Jessie Richardson assisting.
Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements. Interment was in the church cemetery.


Mr. Corley was a native of Upson County and had
lived in Pike County for 11 years.He was a self-
employed farmer


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Corley of
Meansville;five daughters,Mrs.Betty Tant of
Homestead,Fla.,Mrs. Mary Stewart, Mrs. Earline
Coley, Mrs. Annie Jean Wheeler all of Meansville,
Mrs Louise Chamber of The Rock;five sons,Wilburn
Corley,Alvah Corley,Jr. both of Thomaston,Robert Ash
Corley of Macon,Nelson Corley,Jacky Corley both of
Meansville;one sister,Mrs. Alma Dukes of
Thomaston.29 grandchildren,30 great-grandchildren
and 5 great-great grandchildren.
