MR. L.A. CROWELL DEAD


Mr. L.A. Crowell, a former citizen of Upson County died
April 23 at the home of his son in LaGrange. The deceased
was until recently a citizen of this county having
resided at Thunder and is well known to many.

Mr. Crowell was a Confederate Veteran, having been a
member of Company A, 53rd Georgia Regiment. He was
wounded in 1862 in a battle in Maryland and suffered from
its effects until his death.
