She died Thursday night of last week. The funeral was held at 4 o'clock from the First Baptist church, Rev. C. S. Durden, the pastor officiating, assisted by Rev S. R. England, pastor of First Methodist church. Mr. Durden paid a splendid tribute to the life of the deceased extolling her many virtues as neighbor, friend and Christian worker. Her body was carried to the old Bethesda Cemetery about two miles North of Thomaston for burial. Miss Annie had been confined to her room for about two weeks although she had been in bad health for several years. The deceased was 70 years of age and had been a life long resident of this community. She and her brother, Mr. George Dallas, had made their home together in Thomaston for a number of years. Miss Dallas was a splendid character. She had been a member of the Thomaston Baptist church for fifty years and was ever loyal to its interests and the cause of her Master. She was a staunch friend and kind, helpful neighbor and her going away is the source of sadness to all who knew and loved her. The deceased is survived by three brothers, Mr. George Dallas, Mr. Walter Dallas, Mr. Aleck Dallas of Thomaston.
