JOHN HOWARD DARLING


Thomaston-- John Howard Darling,age 83 of 118 Jeff Davis
Road ,Thomaston, died at the VA Hospital in Atlanta on
Thursday morning,August 21.Funeral services were held at
the Pasley-Fletcher Chapel at 2 p.m. on Sunday August 24
with Dr.E.L.Cliburn officiating. Internment was in Upson
Memorial Gardens. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.


Mr. Darling was a native of Milford, Conn., but had lived
in Upson County for the past 3 1/2 years. He had been a
general contractor for house construction. He was a veteran
of World War I and a member of Pete Thurston Post American
Legion . He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Jackson
Darling of Thomaston; one step-son,Don Page of Thomaston.
