James E. Dawson

Thomaston…..Death claimed James Ernest Dawson, age
75, of 137 Avenue F, early Wednesday morning at the
Upson County Hospital.  Funeral services are
scheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m. from the Baptist
Tabernacle, with the Rev. Euell Reece officiating.
Burial will be in Upson Memorial Gardens with
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.

Mr. Dawson was born in Taylor County but had lived
in Upson County for 60 years.  He retired in 1968
from the Thomaston Division of Thomaston Mills as a
lab technician.  He was a member of the Baptist
Tabernacle and served on the Board of Deacons.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wilma Maudlin
Dawson, Thomaston, three daughters:  Mrs. Elizabeth
Smith, and Mrs. Rheunette Aydlotte, both of
Thomaston  and Mrs. Diane Slaton, Taylors, S.C.
