 Thursday Rites held for Mrs. Dempsey, 67 


Final rites for Mrs. Clara Dempsey, 67 were held
Thursday, September 27, 1984 at 4 o'clock at the Chapel
of Pasley - Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Harley
McClendon officiating. Burial was in South View Cemetery.

Mrs. Dempsey died Tuesday, Sept. 25th at the Upson County
Hospital. She resided at 83 Franklin Dr. She was a native
of Greenville, S.C. and resided in Upson Co. since 1965.

Survivors include her husband, William M. Dempsey,
Thomaston; six daughters, Mrs. Elva Herndon, Thomaston;
Mrs. Peggy Brooks, Atlanta; Mrs. Pat Goodnough, Mrs.
Norma Hoffman and Mrs. Debra Evertt, all of Greenville,
S.C. 22 grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren also
survive.
