ROSIE LEE WHITE DOWDY


Mrs. Rosie Lee White Dowdy,83,of Hannah's Mill Road died
Thursday morning, July 4,1985 at Riverside Medical Center.


Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon,July6,
in the Church of God with the Rev. Reuben White ande the
Rev.Carl Hemphill officiating. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home
was in charge of the arrangements. Internment was in
Southview Cemetery.


A native of Telfair County, Mrs. Dowdy was a retired
nursing home employee in the Atlanta area and a member of
the Church of God.


Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Lola Ussery,Mrs.
Christine Lee.Mrs. Dorothy Dupree, Mrs Lizzie Mae
Goodwin,Mrs. Romie Hammond all of Thomaston, Mrs Mary
Daniel of Camden,N.J., Mrs. Susie Anderson of Snellville;
one son, Mr. James Edward Dowdy of Anderson, S.C.; four
sisters ,Mrs. Vera Brown, Mrs. Ruby McCranie,Mrs. Beaulah
Williams, Mrs. Emily White all of Thomaston
