SAM DRAKE Dies In Atlanta Hospital
Sam Drake, 49, of 618 Third Street died in an Atlanta
Hospital Monday night after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral Services were help at The East Thomaston Baptist
Church Wednesday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Herbert
Morgan Officiating. Interment was at Fincher Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nan Ingram Drake, one son,
Joe Houston Drake and one daughter, Mrs. Daniel Ruth Drake
Carpenter all of Thomaston; Four sisters Mrs Sallie
Lunceford, of Bairdstown, GA. Mrs. Nora Lee Jay, Covington;
Mrs. Lillie Shuman, Thomaston; Mrs. Muzette Isbell,
Thomaston; Three Brothers. Robert Drake, Augusta; Stonewall
Uhel Drake, Ashville, N.C. and Coile L. Drake, Thomaston.

This came from the Archives Dept. of Upson County. Sam
Houston was my Great grandfather. Please print so that it
