JOE WILBORN DRAKE


Funeral services for Mr. Joe Wilborn Drake, 78 of South
Main Street will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, 2
p.m. in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home with Rev. Ed
Rigby and Rev. Guy Green officiating. Burial will
follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Drake died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003 at his residence.
Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Drake was born in Newton County, Ga. but lived in
Thomaston for many years. He was retired from Thomaston
Mills where he worked for 29 years as a frame
technician.  Mr. Drake was a member of Thomaston Church
of God.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margie Franklin Drake
of Thomaston; Sons, Mr. Freddie (Sue) Drake of
Milledgeville and Kenneth Drake of Alpharetta; Sister,
Mrs. Damie Waller of Thomaston, four grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren. Joe Drake was born the only
son of Sam Houston and Nannie Ingram Drake.
