In Memory of Mr. T.J. Ellington
He was born in Upson Co., Ga., March the 15, 1834; was married to Miss Sarah 
Cox October 26, 1856. By this union four sons and two daughters were born.  
They all survive him except one daughter.  He departed this life Dec. 28, 1914 
and was buried in the cemetery at Bethlehem Dec. 30, after a very appropriate 
funeral discourse by his much exteemed pastor, W.W. Childs, to a large concorse 
of sorrowing relatives and friends.  He died as he had lived, happy in the 
thought of meeting his dear savior whom he much loved and trusted, there to 
remain forever.  Bless the Lord oh my soul for such a fift.  He was ever ready 
to accommodate those in need when in his power to so do..he seldom failed to 
attend his meeting and was willing to aid in helping his pastor or other 
expenses.  The church, as well as kindred will miss his presence for he was so 
punctual to be thee.  May God in his mercy ever guide and protect his companion 
in her declining days, ever give her grace to overcome all her trials and 
difficulties through her remaining days on earth and like he was in the hour 
and article of death.  Help her oh, God, to be resigned to His holy and divine 
will and may it prove a blessing to their children and grandchildren.  May each 
one ever endeavor to imitiate their lives for they are of such worth as to be 
imitated.
To his dear companion and children I will say, he resigned as best you can to 
the will of an all-wise God who gave and has taken your loved one away to ever 
be at rest and may the grace of God ever support you in this your sorrow, is my 
prayer.
